Make a strong contribution to the Cambridge community;

Respect the confidentiality and privacy of members;
Empower individuals; and
Ensure a sustainable membership organisation.
History
The Cambridge Community Shed (later renamed the Lake Monger Community Shed) was initiated by the Rotary Club of Cambridge in 2013. After many false starts, construction of the LMCS commenced in October 2020. The Shed was officially opened on 19 June 2021 and was fully operational by June 2022.
Prior to construction of the Shed, 'Shed without a Shed' meetings and other activities were held at the Lake Monger Recreation Club. LMCS membership has grown from 40 in early 2020 to over 300 members in 2025. Over a third of our members are female, half of our members are under 60 years of age, and some live as far away as Hamilton Hill, Wanneroo and Midland.
